The Vision Behind MOTIVATE Life Coaching

MOTIVATE Life Coaching was founded by Tony Spivey, Sr., a Master Certified Life Coach and seasoned Business Consultant, with a vision to help individuals and businesses bridge the gap between where they are and where they want to be. What began as a personal mission has evolved into a premier life coaching model built on practical strategies, professional insight, and a passion for transformation.

Recognizing the importance of a holistic approach to coaching, Tony later brought in Debra R. Spivey, a Master Life Coach with extensive experience in public administration, nonprofit leadership, and personal development. Together, they have shaped MOTIVATE Life Coaching into a trusted resource for personal growth, relationship enrichment, and business success.

Tony Spivey, Sr.

Founder | Master Business Coach | Life Coach

As the founder of MOTIVATE Life Coaching, Tony brings decades of experience as a business owner, consultant, and certified life coach. He specializes in business development, marketing strategy, nonprofit formation, and personal recovery coaching. Tony has facilitated numerous workshops that promote personal, professional, and entrepreneurial growth—and has helped businesses move from financial strain to profitability through strategic coaching.

In addition to his work in business, Tony has served as a Substance Abuse and Recovery Coach, offering compassionate support to individuals navigating life challenges. Outside of coaching, Tony enjoys traveling, collecting sports memorabilia, and spending time with family and friends.

Debra R. Spivey

Master Life Coach | Public Administration Expert | Empowerment Leader

Debra joined MOTIVATE Life Coaching with a powerful background in both the public and private sectors. She holds a bachelor's degree in Human Resource Administration and Sociology from St. Leo College and a master’s in Public Administration from Troy State University.

Her leadership experience includes founding and leading a nonprofit for women in need, serving as Executive Board President for a childcare center, and guiding young girls as a longtime Girl Scout Leader. She also owns décor & more by Debra, an interior decorating company that blends creativity with empowerment.

Debra is known for her ability to uncover hidden talents in others, motivate change, and inspire action. She is currently writing a self-help coaching journal. In her free time, Debra enjoys gardening, decorating, reading, traveling, and exploring African American history.
